Taipa Subdistrict in Palu City has experienced significant growth in infrastructure and population; however, challenges remain in the areas of sanitation and household waste management. This study aims to evaluate the environmental sanitation conditions in Taipa and their impact on public health. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method using a survey approach conducted on 512 households through field observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The results revealed that most residents rely on bore wells as their main sources of clean water and drinking water, while the use of piped water (PDAM) remains limited. Nearly all households have access to healthy latrines and use septic tanks for fecal waste disposal. However, the management of used cooking oil and the practice of open burning of waste remain environmental concerns that require attention. The majority of houses have floors and walls that meet environmental health standards. These findings indicate that although basic sanitation has been categorized as fairly adequate, efforts in public education and improvement of waste management systems are still needed to ensure sustainable environmental health in the community.
2025-06-20T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Hexagonhttp://www.jurnal.uts.ac.id/index.php/hexagon/article/view/6030STUDI FORMULASI, KARAKTERISTIK DAN AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN SIRUP BUNGA TELANG (Clitoria ternatea L.)2025-07-11T13:40:46+07:00Lailiiyatus Syafahlaili@poltekkespim.ac.idAde Reka Saputrilaili@poltekkespim.ac.idEbbie Permata Sarilaili@poltekkespim.ac.idIma Nurul Kurnianingsihlaili@poltekkespim.ac.idSherlina Ahmalialaili@poltekkespim.ac.idUmmi Khalila laili@poltekkespim.ac.id
Telang flower (Clitoria ternatea L.) is a flower that is widely used by the community as a drink. Based on field observations, it was found that the existing warehouse layout was disorganized, with material placement lacking clear structure, thereby hindering warehouse staff in locating and retrieving required items. Additionally, due to limited storage capacity, not all materials could be accommodated within the warehouse. This condition prompted the need for further study to minimize material damage and inefficiencies in retrieval processes caused by poor organization. This study aims to improve warehouse capacity and layout by implementing the Class-Based Storage method, which categorizes materials into three main classes based on their type and dimensions. As a result, the warehouse was expanded from its original size of 4.7 m × 10.6 m to 14 m × 32 m. The proposed layout organizes materials into three classes: Class 1 comprises solid materials with lengths ranging from 3 to 12 meters; Class 2 includes solid materials shorter than 3 meters; and Class 3 consists of liquid or flammable materials. The analysis showed that the total material handling cost in the initial layout was Rp 2,246,674, which was reduced to Rp 1,068,060 in the proposed layout, indicating a cost efficiency gain of 52.4%. These findings confirm that the Class-Based Storage method is effective in optimizing warehouse layout and reducing internal logistics costs. The demand for halal and environmentally friendly products is not limited only to the food industry, but also increasingly expanding to non-food products such as the clothing industry. The clothing industry in Indonesia plays an important role in the growth of the national economy, especially through the contribution of the small and medium industrial sector (SMEs). In the midst of increasing consumer awareness of products that are not only quality, but also ethical and sustainable, there is a need to integrate the principles of halal and environmental sustainability (green industry) in the supply chain of the clothing industry. However, most studies still focus separately on the halal aspect in the food industry or the environmental aspect in the large manufacturing sector, while the synergy of the two in the context of the clothing industry has not been widely studied. This study analyzes the effect of deforestation on temperature, humidity, rainfall, and sunshine duration in North Sumatra Province during the period 2013-2022. A quantitative approach was used with deforestation data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) and climate data from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis was performed using SPSS version 29. The results showed that the average deforestation in North Sumatra reached 9,884.79 hectares per year. The correlation analysis showed a very weak to low negative relationship between deforestation and the four climate parameters analyzed, namely rainfall (r = -0.292), sunshine duration (r = -0.173), air temperature (r = -0.086), and air humidity (r = -0.056). Statistically, no significant relationship (p>0.05) was found between deforestation and climate variables, most likely due to the limited number of annual samples. This study identified that local factors such as the presence of the large Lake Toba and the conversion of deforested land to plantations act as moderators of the microclimate. This explains the impact of deforestation on temperature and humidity in this region is not always significant as theoretically assumed. Correlations between climate variables also show complex interactions, such as a very strong negative relationship between temperature and humidity (r=-0.974; p<0.001). This study provides important insights into the complexity of deforestation and microclimate interactions in a unique tropical region such as North Sumatra.
2025-06-18T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Hexagonhttp://www.jurnal.uts.ac.id/index.php/hexagon/article/view/5144PENERAPAN ORANGE DATA MINING UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN SISTEM MANUFAKTUR DISKRIT PADA KASUS KLASIFIKASI DAN KLASTERISASI GAMBAR HEWAN BERBASIS MACHINE LEARNING2025-02-04T05:54:26+07:00Sukriyah Buwardasukriyah.buwarda@atim.ac.idMutmainnahmutmainnah@atim.ac.idLutfilutfi@atim.ac.id
Politeknik ATI Makassar has introduced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Big Data Analytics in the Discrete Manufacturing Systems course. High noise levels can reduce room productivity, therefore effective acoustic materials are needed. Material that can be used as a noise reduction material is leather. Leather is usually used as decoration for interior elements, but never been used as a material that has functional value as a noise reduction, so the research is needed to see whether there is potential for tanned leather as an alternative material for noise reduction. This research aims to obtain data on the potential of tanned leather in dealing with background noise. This research uses an experimental method of chrome-tanned leather (Pull-up) and vegetable-tanned leather, which are measured using a sound level meter. The experimental results provide data that pull up leather and vegetable leather which are used as layer coverings for cardboard have a noise intensity below 75 dB, a safe category that reduces noise based on WHO and can be used as a noise reduction. Another discovery is that pull-up leather absorbs better noise than vegetable leather. The recycling rate also improved from 0.51 to 0.58, indicating an improvement in waste management, especially through the use of TPS3R. The study recommends stronger public education, better monitoring, and improved facilities to ensure the policy’s success and sustainability in Palu City.
2025-06-18T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Hexagonhttp://www.jurnal.uts.ac.id/index.php/hexagon/article/view/4355RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM KEAMANAN PINTU RUMAH MENGGUNAKAN INTERNET OF THINGS BERBASIS ESP32-CAM UNTUK PERUMAHAN KABUPATEN SUMBAWA2025-02-11T17:15:14+07:00Muhamad Taufanmuhammadtaufan3007@gmail.comMuhammad Hidayatullahmuhammad.hidayatullah@uts.ac.idAhmad Jayaahmad.jaya@uts.ac.idNova Aryantonova.aryanto@uts.ac.id
Housing in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is increasing, especially for subsidized and commercial types. For this type of housing, the quality of materials and security of door access are certainly very sensitive and vulnerable to theft or looting. Moreover, housing locations on the outskirts of the city are often abandoned by owners who are active outside the home or even outside the city for work or vacation, resulting in the security level of the home becoming vulnerable. In addition, the security conditions of housing complexes are not accompanied by 24-hour security, which will increase theft/looting of houses and result in owners experiencing losses due to the loss of valuables in the house. To prevent cases of theft crimes, it is necessary to improve the security system, especially at the door of the house. So, to overcome this problem, it is necessary to carry out further research on the design of a home door security system using the Internet of Things and based on Esp32-Cam, which aims to increase security at home. The ESP32 CAM will photograph people/objects via Passive Infra Red (PIR) sensor detection commands and send them in the form of images automatically to Telegram as a notification. Data analysis shows that drugs in tablet form are the most dominant unit in the dispensing process, with total dispensing reaching 3,648 times to all health facilities or City/Regency Health Offices throughout West Java. Given the significance of the use of tablet drugs, this study proposes the application of demand forecasting analysis as a strategy to improve the efficiency of drug inventory management. By predicting the demand for tablet drugs, the West Java Provincial Health Office can more effectively prepare drug stocks, reduce the risk of shortages or excess stock, and respond to high market demand. Based on the results of data processing carried out using the Simple Linear Regression Forecasting analysis of the Antiretroviral (ARV) drug program, the MAPE was obtained at 69%, smaller than the MAPE from the Single Exponential Smoothing Forecasting analysis of 83.780%. Meanwhile, for the Buffer drug program, the Single Exponential Smoothing Forecasting analysis is more accurate than the Simple Linear Regression Forecasting analysis because the MAPE calculation results from the exponential smoothing analysis of 79.088% are smaller than the Simple Linear Regression MAPE calculation of 85%. It is expected that the demand forecasting analysis model can be a strategic tool for the Ministry of Health's drug warehouse in overcoming the challenges of drug inventory management, while reducing overall drug procurement costs.

2025-06-18T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Hexagon
